I don’t follow this show (although I see stuff from it on Tumblr all the time) and maybe I’m wrong, but hasn’t one of the central relationships (Chuck/Blair, right?) basically taken a beating due to the show’s longevity?
JUST GET YOUR SHOW CANCELED ALREADY SO YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS CAN STOP CONTRIVING STUPID REASONS TO BE TOGETHER, THEN NOT TOGETHER ALL THE TIME.
It’s because the two main executive producers moved on to another project and promoted Joshua Safran to executive producer. He is biased because he has always been a supporter of Dan specifically and Dan and Blair together. Surprise surprise he grew up in Brooklyn just like his favorite character Dan. Basically Penn Badgley has gotten increased screen time in the last two seasons and Chuck and Blair can’t be together because of the stupidest reasons. They even used a pact with God as an excuse. They have to make stuff up so Dan and Blair make sense and the ratings are so low they hit under 1 mil in the middle of last weeks episode. It’s so stupid and it should get cancelled because not only are the ships failing but the story lines as well.
